Noela Residence
Honolulu, HAWAII
Our goal was to create a contemporary oasis with a nod to the home’s Mediterranean style architecture, all while instilling a sense of place with the home’s location in Hawaii. The renovation of the home included creating a new bar area and adding architectural and design elements to nearly every room to bring the house to life. We worked closely with our clients, a young entrepreneurial couple, to create a relaxed yet refined space for their families to gather.
Aukai Residence
Honolulu, HAWAII
This residence was fully renovated and designed to evoke the ultimate sense of calm. The lower floor features a large chef’s kitchen set atop light tiled floors to maximize indoor-outdoor living. The home’s double height ceilings were adorned with a porcelain chandelier mimicking droplets and the upstairs of the house was outfitted with wide plank European oak floors . The primary bath’s stone tub and walk-in shower create the ultimate spa-like experience.
Correa Residence
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA
We took an outdated home from the late 1980s and transformed it into a timeless residence in one of Brentwood’s most prestigious neighborhoods. Complete with gridded windows, intricate molding details and custom rift white oak cabinetry, the home exudes a light and airy atmosphere balanced by moments of drama. This project was completed with one of our repeat clients, a renowned real estate developer in Southern California.
Kukui’ula Residence
Kauai, HAWAII
Together with Kelly and Stone Architects out of Colorado, we designed a home to pay tribute to the Garden Isle. All rooms throughout the estate face inwards towards lush gardens; truly bringing the outside in. Expansive glass hallways and door openings allow for nature to seep into the home’s interiors, which are inspired by some of nature’s most beautiful forms.
Kahala Residence
Honolulu, HAWAII
Working together with Sunnland Architects, we designed a modern oasis in the prime neighborhood of Kahala for one of Hawaii’s premium developers. A layering of interesting textures that speak to the home’s tropical surroundings lends depth to the neutral color palette seen throughout. Furniture selected for the renderings focused on the same design ethos. The residence is currently being constructed and will aim to be completed by early 2024.
Hawaii Loa Residence
Honolulu, HAWAII
We set out to create a comfortable living space for a young professional couple looking to start a family. The design is a true marriage of old and new, incorporating many classic elements from the original 1950s home into the renovation, which included a new primary bedroom suite and a modern, functional update to the kitchen. The backyard was redesigned to become an oasis of native plants, with boulders pulled from the site grounds and arranged to create privacy.
Capello Residence
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA
Our intent was to create a European feel for this Los Angeles pied-a-terre that overlooks the trees. This was a full-scale renovation that included reconfiguring the kitchen space, adding a basement level, and overhauling the pool. We worked closely with our client, a real estate developer, to find unique finishes that were as affordable as they were stylish.
Portlock Residence
HONOLULU, HAWAII
This residence was designed to become a comfortable gathering space for a large family. We blended the old with the new, incorporating elements of classic Hawaii design while updating the home with modern amenities. Renovations included enclosing an external hallway to create two en suite bedrooms and a family room, as well as full bathroom renovations, refinishing the floors, and building an outdoor kitchen to match the home’s existing millwork.
